Speckled trout...my first limit of 2012

Those specks are some of the tastiest fish there is! Still got some redfish in the freezer but I really want some of those!

Caught a limit of speckled trout up to 4#'s from the bank this morning. My first one this year.

not like it's a secret place. all were caught on live croaker. skeeters werent bad at all.

Where did you get the croaker? And how big were they?

That may just be one of the only fishable spot's with these wind's. Unless you run to the La shoreline on Sabine.

When I say small I mean a boat thats big enough you cant lift it by hand. I used to launch my 16 foot 50 inch wide allweld with a 40 horse there. That was before they did all the dredging three or four years ago it got messed up pretty bad. After that you really couldnt launch a trailered boat. I havent been down there in a year or two.

Where did you get the croaker? And how big were they?

I caught the croaker right there in the cut and they were 2" to 3".

That's what I meant too. Have seen several 14' to 16' boats launched there. However I wouldnt personally do it. My 14' is worth more than the $3 it cost to launch at Jr's a mile away.
