Speckled trout...my first limit of 2012

Not trying to steal your spot or anything (since I fish down in Port Mansfield) but in what general area were you fishing. Kinda puzzled how you pulled all those trout out of that area......does not look like Saltwater.....

It is a MAJOR pinchpoint between the ship channel, and a BIG backwater lake, any fish going between those two points must go thru that 80 yard wide gap. I remember when I was in high school fishing on it when the majority of the bank there was still private property. Great stringer, can't beat a limit of fish there, always seems to be a keeper trout when you hook up there.

Guess youve never been on some big trout and had some potlicker come in and blow the hole out. Its amazing how people can cut your drift off, motor right over the fish or try and wade in on you right thru the gut the fish are stacked up in. Or how about the guy that gets elbow to elbow with you and casts over your line every 3rd cast...Not saying any of you do this but theres a bunch of Jackwagons that do!

I aint saying it dont happen or hasnt happened to me I just dont get all worked up over it. I aint a guide and it aint my livelyhood so I brush it off and keep fishin. Ill post with background pics, cause like you said, if you aint got the right bait or the right set up they aint gonna catch em anyways, but thats just me.....Sorry for b**ching on ur thread dude. not like it's a secret place. all were caught on live croaker. skeeters werent bad at all.

We all knew that already. Great spot to set lights and night fish too. Did they ever get it to where you can launch small boats again?
