I'm curious set the record. A 30.06 post up at 3/4"
Letters at a bank you saw the sign noticed it measured the letters with your pocket tape measure would you walk into that bank. Would the its not 1" stand up? Or would like my instructor said " you noticed it and by saying its not exactly 1" you admitting noticing it and deliberately disobeying it. I'll have to call him out on it...I personally leave mine in the truck when 30.06 is on the door correct size or not...
Any sign that is not up to standard as stated in the Texas CHL law section will be ignored. It is not a legal sign. Point Blank Period..
Well we learn something new everyday...would you still carry into a bank with an "incorrect" 30.06 sign?
Yes sir. Do it quite often. Law is law. Like someone said " it's black & white". If its a correct sign I do not carry. If its not a legal sign I'm good. Most buisness owners do not know the law. It's also there responsibility to keep up with the law just like it is ours as CHL holders to know right from wrong.
We are taking my little girl to the zoo in the morning. I carry pretty much everywhere I can. I was wanting to know if the zoo had a legal sign up. I dont like to go anywhere without carrying. Twiztd's chl instructor is covering his self most likely while at the same time. It seems to be a problem with some of them, as mine was the same way.
He asked about a "correct" sign and I was told every sign is correct because you physically saw it to notice the size of the letters being incorrect. And by noticing sign and disobeying was a way to pop you on carrying in a 30.60 restricted place. So I was sharing what I was told and come to find out I was informed wrong.

I may be wrong, but I was told and understand that in order for the sign to be legally binding it has to match the description in the law exactly. But... If they make a sign that meets ALL of the other requirements, I would probably not haggle over the exact size of the letters.
