Swollen lymph nodes in groin

I went to doctor today because I can feel the lymph nodes on both sides of my groin. They are not too large about the size of a small olive or less. Less than an inch. I was hoping he would examine me and say no worries but instead he's sending me for more test. What scares me is the nodes are painless and hard. Has any of you had these same symptoms? Kind of nervous here.

it can be a variety of things, most likely an infection of some type. look at webmd.com and do a search on swollen lymph nodes.

Tough not to worry but I'll say a prayer and try. Just hope I'm overreacting.

I have had some lymph nodes under my chin swell out similiar to that before and it turned out to be an infection. Few days it was gone. I pray that yours are that simple.

I had to go back to the doc today and was dreading it as always. Gotta have a minor surgical procedure done tomorrow, but thankfully nothing too complicated/time consuming. Hope everything works out well for you.

Had my lymph node in my groin swell and got big and i mean like the size of a big marble and hurt horribly. Went to the doctor and turned out that I had the beginning signs of lyme disease. A few weeks of antibiotics and I was back to normal, Like most have said it can be an infection, but it is good to get it checked out. Sending prayers! Keep us updated.

I had that happen once ... I went to my doctor and he ran some test that came back neg. He then called me back in for another visit and this time asked to see the bottom of my feet. I had gotten cut and did not know about it. The cut got infected and it went up the leg and to the groin area... The doctor said it happens all the time with sores or cuts on your feet .
