Top 5 lease rules

1. obey all state and federal game laws
2. no sightin in rifles, shooting non game animals
3. no loaded firearms in the camphouse
4. no "joy" riding after sept. 1.
5. no hunting from another members stand without their permission
6. no alcohol outside camp during rifle season
7. guest only allowed after opening week of rifle season and are allowed 1 animal off their host allotment.
8. family members allowed after first week of rifle season and are allowed 1 buck or doe.

What would your top 5 be?

I had some loopholes at the last place and want to make sure all the bases are covered!

No guests during deer season

No drinking allowed

No atvs but utv with rollbars and seat belts allowed no minors per manuf rules

No hunting from trucks, no driving by others blinds after washer is placed on blind hunting today board in camp, stay in camp with 4x4 trucks when wet use utvs

All game to be photoed by cell phone in feild, all bucks to be scored 1 week by 3rd party scorer posted on camp message board

Get it on writing from the landowner and every hunter to sign it at the same time and review it, come together on a penalty if someone breaks the rules so all dont have to be run off if somebody brings in a guest or overharvests and makes the landowner punish all like happens over and over seems like

Guests and overharvesting and unsafe atvs and hunters driving by others blinds and or boozers has been top violations for us over and over, remeber, next door to us somebody from this site was killed last year on atv accident, they are way to scary for sure.

Not many rules on my place...Our saying is "Do what your catlike works!"....Your guess is as good as mine,as to what it means...Never had any problems.

This was a not so seriuos thread! I hear the dangers. It is 6 of my closet friends on here and the rules are unsaid. we all think pretty much the same on most things.

ie: mature deer ,be responsible all that good stuff.

But we will have beer and whiskey!

Rule #1, don't get on a lease with guys that you have to have all these rules.

This is my preferred approach, we have a group and we pride ourself on having no rules. The key is we keep it a small, close-knit group and we know we are all on the same page. We have zero problems. Of course, this approach is a result of hunting for years on places that had rule documents that resembled the health care bill. Took the fun out of it.

1. No guest opening weekend.
2. Bow only till last week of season.
3. Leave it cleaner than you found it.
4. If you use the last one, your turn to buy.
5. When the Alcohol comes out the Guns go away.
