Like everyone has said there are pros and cons to both. I never lived on campus while I was at A&M. He will meet a whole lot more people if he lives in the dorm verses off campus unless he is active in campus organizations. My sister in law is junior there now. Oh what great times my wife and I had there.

Congrats to your son by the way

Congrats to little Hummper on going to a great school. I suggest that he live on campus his freshman year as he will met a ton more people and then move off after that. My buddies live off of 2818 and Villa Maria. I think that is an awesome location.

              Whatever he does...

try not to get Walton Dorm. My son stayed there his first year and the room wasn't much bigger than my car and there were two of them in that room.

Congratulations to your son for getting accepted. Acceptance to A&M is quite an accomplishment these days.

When I was there I lived on campus 2 years and off campus for 2 years. That worked for me.

He may not want to carry any dead animals in that car but I bet he can fit a few CS hogs in it.

Congtats to your son for getting into A&M. My youngest son received his 'acceptanace' letter from A&M last week also. I currently have twin daughters at A&M. They are seniors and should graduate in a semester or two. Maybe your son and my 'crew' will meet up one day.
