I think the end of October or beginning of December. This way you can make either the PBR finals in October or the NFR in December...My idea of a great time!!!

Its a dry heat in the summer so you don't sweat alot....but the strip walks will require some H20. I like it in the winter personally. And of all the places I have stayed...I enjoy Ceasers Palace the most for what they have in house at all times. If you want to see famous people ..I have seen the most at the Wynn. (though not that I cared to see them).

Make sure there is no big convention because rooms, flights go up in price.

We went last year. The first week of April. We also went Sunday through Friday, it was cheaper that way. For us it was cheaper to fly out of Austin then Houston. Saved over 300 on the flights.

This. I went in September one time. It was something like 110 outside. I like to gamble and don't care that much for walking the strip, so that's not a big deal to me. However, if walking the strip and checking out the different hotels or going on a Hoover **** tour is in your plans, I would definintely stay away from the late summer months. Like others have said, I think there is a little bit of down time from early November through Christmas, which probably is a good time to go. However, it's Vegas, so there's really never a bad time to go persay.

Avoid new years or the big holidays... I've been there for NY and Thanksgiving... Not wonderful experiences.

I agree! The bus pass worked out great. The rates were very reasonable too. I loved the old part and the slots were really generous there. Its worth the trip to make it out to Hoover Dam too.

Any time between Jan 1st and Dec 31st.

I was there earlier this week and there was an unbelievable wind/dust storm Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, though, was perfect. It's kind of like Texas; Spring and Fall are the best, but there really isn't a bad time. It's always comfortable in the casinos.

I've been twice for the wifes work convention. This last Sept we blew all they're stuff off and had our own vacation. Shot machine guns and drove bulldozers and she bought jewelry!

Also what happens in Vegas doesn;t stay in Vegas. Fallon's expected to be here June 15th!

Better than the shot show the following week is the Las Vegas National indoor shoot and all the archery venders are in town. I have lived in Vegas for the last year. I would have to say the time of year depends on what you are planing on doing while you are in town. if you are going to stay on the stip and don't care too much about the weather then the winter is the best time to be here. If you are looking to partake in the outdoors i would say spring or fall. Right now the weather is great, but NASCAR is in town.
