Shriners, they help with the cost associated with child burn victims. If you have ever seen a child that had 3rd degree burns over 70% of their body you'd know exactly where to donate.

Cure Autism Now (Our youngest is Autistic)
MD Anderson (Where my mother was treated before she passed)
Masonic organizations (trust me become one and you have no idea how many self addressed stamps and calendars you will buy)
Wounded Warrior Foundation (God Bless them!)
and of course we donate clothing, food etc every chance we get
No telling what else my wife gives away that I never knew we even owned
To me it's personal, it's individual and I think we all agree that what and who we give to we have a connection to in some way.

I think donations are a very personal thing. Charity starts at home. Look around you in your community and find someone or a group of someones and give directly.
The large organizations do fanatastic amount good and also have very high overhead costs.
Local, one on one donations have a higher dollar for dollar impact, I believe.
Just look at the TBH local community helping and donating time and dollars to friends, neighbors and relatives.
Check the thread "Neighbors need help." if you have not already. Perfect example of which I speak.
Carry on.
