havent read the books, but my wife got me interested in them for sure. She really wants to go see the movie so we will. I might need to pick up the books and read them before then though. sounds interesting.

I thought it was a chick flick thing until i saw the previews for the movie.

Fiance read/ is reading the books now. I thought they were just a chick thing (kinda like twilight)? But if all you guys are reading them I'll do it after she finishes.

She was gonna drag me with her to see the movie(s) regardless.

ok. i read them....all three of them

They were really good. Cnce you start reading them , they are hard to put down.

I like the comparisons and mockery of today's society as a whole, along with the relation to the US's past vs present role in a global structure. I couldnt help but think of our fight for independence from Britain and how society is so reliant on foreign products to survive. The mockery of the capitol and their funny outfits, the over indulgence of foot/goods. Compare this to the regions all around us, much like the districts, we must look like these people to some. Dont forget the comparisons between the capitol and our very own government....

                      I liked them alot.

                      Now....to read 1984....

I agree. I read somewhere that the author likes to write books about how war and polictics are viewed by and affect adolescents and children coming of age. It was a GREAT trilogy in my opinion.

Just started the second book and going to see the movie with one of the TBH gals. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a fiction book so much.

Kerusso are releasing these tees. Have pre-ordered for my store.
