Austinites would rather see the homeless starve before allowing deer to be killed

They passed a bill/law/whatever back around 2000-2001 to allow "sharpshooters" to come in and harvest deer......then the huggers raised hell and they spent our tax dollars to trap and ship to mexico. you could feed all those hobos down there if they'd just kill some off.

Same here. Would love to have the deer in my yard. Can't feed them corn. No problem. I would just plant a foodplot for them.

Well besides the point those are some pretty bucks in the vid! If they do hire someone to take them out I got Dibs on the ten pointer!

[QUOTE=ty729;4964999]This is easy for me to say but I would love to have deer in my yard!

Agreed. I lived in a subdivision once that had deer and it was great. Yes - its a pain growing a garden and having decent shrubs/plants but there are ways to have it all.

I have heard a few voices around that are in favor of harvesting panhandlers/hobos and saving the deer more panhandlers than deer around here.

I think I would have a big problem with a city government that thought they could tell me I couldn't put corn on MY YARD if I wanted to. I'd be telling them to kiss it. Stupid hippies!!

Sounds like another HOA controlling other's lives.

I remember this. They trapped the deer and transported them to a HUNTING RANCH in Mexico at a cost of something like $5000/head. To make it even better, most of them died during the trapping or the transport.

My neighborhood. The lots are huge (1/3-3/4 acre) and there's a lot of greenbelt mixed in; plenty of room for the deer to hide during the day. On the weekends I can't hunt I just drive around and watch them.
