In Austin that is not an option unless you mean trap and transport at a huge cost to tax payers

well that would be one way. bottom line if the deer don't eat feed they will eat flowers and shrubs in peoples yard.

since the deer belong to the state they need to handle the nuisance animals. writing a few tickets is not going to fix the problem.

I agree, and the best way would be to hunt them but no way that is going to be allowed either.

I thought hippies were all animal lovers. Why do they want to starve the deer?

                KIDDING!!

it's not their flowers they are worried about....it's their mushrooms and other greenery that concerns them

Being a hippy anymore is about getting what you want because it's 'good' for something else. It's not a lifestyle, just a means.

after reading the article again it sounds like the HMO is pushing it.

looks like the home owners should demand the HMO fix the problem since they are all paying members........ i bet the HMO would not like that.

Sounds like a bunch of whiny bed-wetters!

exactly right, you cant drive through those neighborhoods in west Austin with out seeing plenty of deer. So you know there are deer there and then buy a house there knowing about the deer then complain about the deer.
No different than the people who buy houses near airports and complain about the airport
