    Vital chart/diagram for axis?

learned the hard way this weekend the vitals of an axis are not the exact same of a whitetail. the lungs and heart are actually much further into the cage than a whitetail and a double lung shot on an axis this weekend turned into a stomach shot. walked my butt off for 2 days this weekend and am still sick about it.

shoot I never knew that, I've shot half a dozen and always treated them exactly like a white tail

Vitals are all between the shoulders. From the crease back is stomach and intestines.

Tuck it into or just behind the crease and you will be fine

I also shoot them exactly in the same place as whitetail and have shot a lot of them. I have noticed they are much tougher than whitetail and I have lost a couple where on video looked like a perfect shot but I did not recover them. (2)

Never shot one but glad I am getting schooled on proper kill zone. Its amazes me that they are not the same kill zone as a whitetail and that they are tougher?

They're from India, actually. They're definitely made differently than whitetail.

My preffered shot. Normal quarterin away right in the crease. It will come out in front of the off leg and center the vitals. Also keep it no higher that the lower 3rd.
