Going on year 12 of being cope free after 30+ years using it. I know lots of folks who have gone the zyn route. I just decided while mowing the lawn one day that when if finished the can I was on, I wasn't buying anymore. Glad I did. When I ffinally decided to quit, I was buying a can a day minimum. More if I was outside all day. If you do the math, that comes out to almost $100 a pound. What else would anyone pay $100 a pound for?

I'm curious if the zyn pouches will end up like vaping. Supposed to be better for you, but filled with a bunch of other **** thats just as bad. Congrats to those of you who have been able to get off of it. To those of you who are not quitters, get a big ole dip for me.

I quit Cope Wintergreen long cut on Christmas Eve after getting a stomach bug that cleaned my clock. I use the Rogue wintergreen pouches, they don’t compare to a good plug at all, but keeps me from dipping. I used to take one huge dip at night after the house settled and watch 30-40 mins of hunting on you tube. The Nic pouches are not nearly as satisfying, and I put 4 or 5 in my lip to make the size comparable to the dip I’d take.

I really miss the Copenhagen man and enjoyed to tobacco chewing aspect of it. The Nicotine pouch craze is just kind of irritating to me, but I’m part of it.

I moved from cope to zyns. Then I got tired of feeling like I need nicotine to function. I realized how ridiculous it was that I needed to go the gas station of if I ran out at all costs. Took 3 days of feeling some legitimate physical effects, but after that it was fairly easy. I’m at a point now that I could care less. Sure sometimes I think, oh a zyn or cope sounds nice. But then I also realize I’d feel the same without. I prefer life without addiction

The upside of the tobacco free nicotine pouches is they don't contain the carcinogens that tobacco does. I personally don't think nicotine is any more harmful than caffeine. How many people drink a pot of coffee a day, cokes, sweet tea, etc... IMHO there are more harmful things we put in our bodies every day than nicotine.
I ZYN got me off redman instantly. Got too expensive when everyone figured it out. Tried Velo but just don’t like the cloth type feel of those. Did some google for cheap alternatives and found On 8mg wintergreen. Pulse they come with 20 pouches. They are cheap and they satisfy so my intake really dropped.

Congratulations all who say they are free from chew or dip.
It was much harder to quit the dip than it was cigarettes for me. You are more restricted where you can smoke but chew seemed like it way more less restricted even at work.
My wife really didn’t like it but tolerated it because she loves me. When I would sneak it I would feel like I was doing something wrong and would feel guilty. I don’t even sneak anything anymore. The last time I quit was actually the easiest I guess I was serious this time when I said I was done with the stuff.

I myself have never chewed or dipped, but my uncle did both for years. When it started eating a hole in his front lip, he move it to his right cheek then to his left cheek and lastly to his top lip before he decided to quit. He had pouches throughout his mouth before quitting. Doc told him it was time to quit or time to have surgery, must be quiet addicting to let it eat holes in your lips before quitting.

Congratulations. I’m going on one month without dipping Skoal after at least 40 years. I’m doing it with the help of MD Anderson’s tobacco free program. Since my cancer surgery, it was advised that I quit as tobacco slows down the bodies healing abilities. Hopefully I’ll stay tobacco free.

I'm going on 3 years without Cope straight, tried zyn for a while, for some reason certain flavors gave me heartburn. I've been using Alp pouches for a while now, I like them alot better than zyn and they come in 9mg, 20 pouches per can and cheaper than zyn too, plus Tucker Carlson started the company so that's a bonus.

Congratulations on your tobacco cessation success. Can you tell us a little more about MDA’s protocol?

That's a heck of an accomplishment. Congratulations!

My folks both smoked into their late 40's or so and quit. Both passed in the 80's but not from cancers!! It must be hard to do, but they did it and I'm so glad. Cancer sucks.

Just got prescribed Bupropion SR today, anyone tried it, worked, went off the deep end? Not a nicotine replacement. Yes, I know it's all in my head, but that dip is gooood!

I couldn’t do the zyn or the other brands . It gave horrible heartburn. I miss chewing . Glad I stopped. I really had a harder time stopping drinking energy drinks than stopping chewing .
