    Robot pool vacuum

My wired Dolphin made it 4 years, but time to buy another one. Last time I could find this topic was July 2024. Hopefully someone has purchased one lately and can give some advice. The prices on these things are all over the map. Looking for a wireless one this time. Let it fly on any reviews, including any I should stay away from.

    Thanks in advance.

In as well. The cleaner I have just doesn't seem to be cutting it so I'll be watching to see what other options are worth exploring.

I would not purchase a wireless robot from the reviews I e read. Fires, charge times, etc. I went with the active 20 this go around. Comparison chart here - https://pelicanshops1.com/pages/dolp...MaArjKEALw_wcB

Dolphin days are happening this month. I received $100 rebate. the rebate is only for their brick and mortar models.

I would be hesitant to go wireless. We have had the dolphin brand cleaner for about 3 years and the only time it leaves the pool is when I pull it out to clean it. Stays plugged in and runs every day for 2-3 hours. I think it would be a pain to have to worry about getting it out, charging it, remembering to put it back in, etc.......... but they may not be that bad.

I went with a corded robot instead of wireless, for all the reasons mentioned above. I have a Polaris VRX iQ+. It's been awesome. We're out in the country and have lots of oak trees. I wanted a robot that had a big filter basket to hold leaves and debris and one that had plenty of suction power. If I were buying a new one, I'd get the same one again.

We looked at the wireless but after reading about them decided against it because of the price and having to get it out every few days to recharge it. My Polaris 280 was not working like before. I ordered a few parts and new tires and fixed it in about 10 minutes. You can repair everythingon these things. Ours is probably close to 10 yrs old and just keeps going with a few parts every so often It’s crazy what a new one costs these days.

My Dolphin crapped out also. Been searching lots of reviews. Seems Dolphin is still best quality (they are also marketed under another name in places) most good reviews say wireless is not so great unless you have a real small pool. The better Dolphin is the Premier or Premium. Has commercial grade motors and 3 year warranty. Looking at around 1200-1600 bucks. You can even get one that you control with your phone. I like the set for a week and let 'er run.

I have not pulled the trigger. I tried to repair mine but lasted about 2 weeks.

I have run the aiper seagull pro a cordless robot does a good job, i have sent a couple in for warranty work because they quit charging, but they are priced where i can just get a new one without messing with repairs.

I just bought a Dolphin based on lots of good reviews. We previously had a Polaris VRX IQ+. In 2 years it stripped the gears out which was a pretty easy repair, and then a month ago a motor went out. The replacement part was $600+. Then I started reading about lots of people having issues with that same robot so I made the switch to dolphin. It cleans good and only cost a little more than the repair to the Polaris. If I get a few years for the price I’ll be satisfied.

We have the Maytronics/Dolphin M600. Stays submerged in my pool 365 days a year... only pull it out when we swim. Last year I replaced the control module because a bad storm came along and wrecked it. Going forward I put a trash bag over the caddy to keep that from happening again. Other than that "Wally" has been flawless.

I have the original Aiper, the cheapest model and its been great for 3 years. I dropped it and broke a wheel and called them and they sent me a new one out for free. Its starting to run shorter between charges so I'm looking at a newer one that climbs the walls. I've had no issue with it being cordless, I throw it in when I get home from work everyday and pull it out a half hour or so later and it charges all night. Doesn't take all night to charge but I leave it hooked up.
