TBH never fails to make me laugh!!

I'm done with this thread even though I started it. Had some good friends that know the ranch and know what I do to console me, lol.

Are you trying to talk yourself into it or out of it?
Running a hunting ranch sounds fun until it becomes work and you are not getting paid for it, but twenty years is a good run.It sounds like the work and responsibility has exceeded what having a place you basically call your own is worth but you don’t want to let it go. Out of curiosity does your wife think you spend entirely too much time and energy there to not get paid for it?

Wow, do you know us? My wife complains all the time about that. I literally get home and don’t want to do anything all day. She does not like it, but bring home good tips.

Call the male owner and tell him you're thru with running the ranch and tell him why. If he corrects the situation consider staying, if he says ok then you have some time to find another lease.

This response, as well as the all the others I’ve read on here, tells me you’re in way over your head on this one. You’re so far in over your head, my friend, that you don’t even know you’re in over your head! And as for the advice you’ve been given by your well-meaning but also way-in-over-their-heads Brethren of TBH? God love ‘em, they mean well, but it’s worthless and I’ll tell you why:

THIS. WOMAN. IS. PIS*ED!! She has been scorned and ignored to the point that she is no longer rational. And here you are, trying to use logic and reason. You don’t stand a chance.

She doesn’t care how hard you’ve worked.
She’s doesn’t give a sh*t about the revenue stream you provide.
She couldn’t care less that you cook and clean and do everything yourself.
Her issue isn’t about discounts you offer or free rides you give to your kids and family, it’s a “balance of power” issue and she is losing.

This woman is beyond reason and this situation has become untenable. There is only one person who can talk her off the ledge at this point, and I suspect he has neither the skill set or the desire to do it.

My advice? Either walk away…or take cover.

Look, I have been doing this for a long time, she doesn't know anything about management or bringing clients in. The lodging is less than comfortable with them living in it. Half the time the side by sides don't work, everything is a mess, I have to do all the paperwork for the MLD, clean and cape the animals, drop all the guts off at the dump pile, cook half the time and then get btiched at about a $500 discount for someone else to bring a hunter in for 4 hours and leave!!! They didn't have to pay guide fees or worry about the hunters staying.

When I drove by the barn I said what in the world? They have enough side by sides LOL
