Anyone ever tried the Barrel Buddy from ASF?

I put one out last year. So far so good. I made some longer stakes from rear. The ones that come with it are more like heavy tent stakes.

Seems like a neat idea & no first hand experience, but even staked down, I think a fat hog might have a field day with it?

coming up on 2 years with mine. I have it in an opening without a pen for hogs to visit. Cows stop by too. Staked it down with 4 t posts then wrapped in barbed wire. No issues yet.

I don't think so. It clamps just above the metal ring on the bottom of the barrel.

Yes but couldn't you use either self tapping screws or drill holes through the drum and place the nuts on the inside?

I guess you could but why. Squirrels and rats will chew thru plastic barrels.

Ahhhh........now you got my attention with the longer legs. Heck, you gotta be on the ground to change the battery otherwise.

Bingo!!! Our squirrels put holes in the plastic green barrels within one or two seasons.
