That flag would make a GREAT auction item for AC's party. If it were mine, that's what I'd do with it!

Just a thought and a little different perspective. Have a nomination/flag passing each year at Bownanza. The flagbearer will then start a thread and document the adventures of brotherhood etc. until the next Bownanza. In addition to nanza attendence, one responsibility may be to plan a regional or local meet&greet.
We all have years where personal, family and/or work interrupts participation in extracurricular activities even with the best of intentions.

Wait, are we having a junior high student council election?Lots of great folks here. I've been fortunate enough to meet a handful and feel like I know several others without actually meeting them. Been lucky in that I've also never had a bad transaction in the classifieds. Lots of good info, generosity, and brotherhood. Keep up the good work!

While I appreciate the thoughts and mentions, I am wholly uncomfortable accepting them, because there is a lot more that goes in to true contribution.
What some folks don't know about, is what goes on here behind the scenes. When folks are in need, there are members here who step up in very meaningful ways, and have for years. Be it monetary, or otherwise, many will never know what gets done behind the scenes. I've been blessed to be a part on a few occasions, but I know there are more than a few guys pulling on the rope harder than I can. I'm glad to help when and where I can, but the real deal likely happens behind the scenes as often as not. Either way, I doubt the average member knows a 1/10th of the real deal, and I count myself among that number. I'm glad to know what I do, and help when I can, but the true MVP is the site itself, what Michael, Casey, and Mary (and more recently Alien Scones), have built, and they fact that they've been able to keep it largely as it was intended...despite monumental growth.
I won't mention names, but over the years I've come to hear some testimonies about what this little website has provided to folks through their generosity, and it would boggle your mind.
I know what it's meant to me, and not just online banter, but lifelong friendships, and folks my family calls friends, and folks who would come to my aid at the drop of a hat. Not to mention gates that it's opened for me.
A very wise man once said "you get out of it, what you put in to it."
I appreciate all of you.Last edited by Dale Moser; 02-27-2025, 11:30 PM.

Been meaning to ask you as I've seen it 5+ times around my neck of the woods in League City. You know of someone that drives a blacked out 350 with black "JOSLIN" plates?
