Fast forward to Sunday night, my dad, who most of you know, had been disabled and experienced multiple falls, hospitalizations, etc, was outside on his walker in the driveway, lost his balance and fell backward onto the concrete, pretty much head first. He’s in ICU with a subdural hematoma(brain bleed). We are the point of making a decision…I know his wishes and will honor them, as much as it hurts.
Please pray for my momma…I can’t imagine losing a mother and a spouse in close proximity. Pray for my brother who was outside and witnessed him fall and held his head until the FD/EMS arrived…he’s beside himself.
I’m a mess…been a hell of a week and it’s only Tuesday.

Aaron, I'm just now seeing this, and having read through this thread, I must say, my vision is a bit blurry right now. What a gut-wrenching read!! I am so very sorry for all the trouble that has befallen you and your family in such a short time! I know you know that, but the God of our fathers is the one to lean on now. You are the patriarch of the family now and your mom will be in great need for your leadership. I will pray for strength and wisdom to continue for you. I lift you up in prayer for comfort for the heavy burden of making the right decisions for your father's care. You are just confirming to him that he raised up a son in his own image to carry on in his stead. God bless you and your family sir!
Lord, we lift up our brother Aaron and his mom for peach and comfort in this time of great earthly loss. We ask Lord that You care for them and strengthen them and Lord give them clear vision of You in all Your glory as you care for them. After a time of mourning, give them the strength to reach out to the new normal and claim their joy that is in Your Son Jesus our Savior that You sent.
Guide them. Protect them, and hold them close to Your precious bosom. In the name of Jesus we ask and pray, Amen.
