I second this. Not that close to Camp Mabry but a much easier in and out than anything you’ll find downtown. On-site parking means no valet necessary.

Very different from most downtown steakhouses which are just cookie cutter iterations if each other. Carve is different, different sides, a great Caesar salad, and craft cocktails…well, you can’t just choose one.

The only exception I make is for Lonesome Dove. Truly unique but I don’t go there nearly as often as it’s downtown.

If you can get a reservation, Dai Due is where you want to be. Jesse is an avid hunter and wild game fanatic. He only uses local ingredients at the restaurant, the menu changes daily based on what's available. He wrote the bible on hunting, processing, and cooking hogs- The Hog Book.
