I think with out the lottery, chances of hunting native North American sheep are probably not realistic for me . $40-100k per animal is the going rate?

Oct of 2023, took my dad on a moose hunt in Canada. After seeing that kind of country and talking to the guides about all their experiences in the mountains, I started looking at all kinds of stuff when we got home. I ran across a group called Alaska Outdoor Council and they were running a raffle on a Mexico desert bighorn sheep and I thought what the heck, I’ll buy a ticket. I had NEVER bought a raffle ticket/lottery/draw for a hunt outside of some local stuff down here in south Texas.

Bought the ticket and pretty much forgot about it and then a week or two later I get a call from Alaska saying they drew my name at their annual banquet! Couldn’t believe it. Of course, I’ve bought tons of raffle after that and haven’t drawn a thing, BUT it only takes one to win a trip of a lifetime.
