      One unbranched antler is a spike. Two unbranched antlers is a spikes--or so said a lease partner who was a veterinarian.

            I’ve had several mature deer just like that over the years. Never saw them 2 years in a row, I would bet he will be normal next year.

              Beautiful deer no matter what you call it. You should let it go for a few more years just to watch him grow

                Is there any distinguishing characteristics that you can identify him next yr. I have a long horn spike with a double white patch and a dark line down his head to his back. I’ll surely will be able to identify him next season.
