    New Mega spike

This mega spike showed up this weekend. This is the first time I’ve seen him. What are the odds he’ll be a spike again next year? I’d like to be able to get him as a spike next year.

Good luck next year. Curious also if he is single horn on that side again next year.

I don’t think spike is the right term for this deer! It looks like he had 1 unbranched antler bug the pic is a little blurry .i think I can see another small point and if so , he isn’t even unbranched. If it were me, I would kill him asap when season starts this year .

What spike? All I can see is the big buck off to the right.

Yeah, the picture isn't great. There may be a small point on there but it's hard to tell.

One of the two sparring deer looks like a Hoss

Here is the sparring buck to the right. He’ll be a dandy next year.

              again, a poor quality picture

We need a TBH training to discuss what a spike is apparently.

One unbranched antler is a spike. This appears based on the pictures I have that he may have one unbranched antler. There may be a small point on there, but I can't tell for sure. If he does have a point on there and it less than an inch, it's still considered a spike.

                          Directly from page 4 TPWD:

                          What is a Spike

A spike is a male deer that is 1.5 years of age or older and whose antlers are unbranched.

One unbranched antler is still a spike.

It is what it is! If You say it is a spike then there is nothing else we can do to change your mind so Spike it is for you ! What I see is a deer that made it through this season but like I said before, I would kill him asap if he comes back anywhere close to what he us now.
