I 'think' most who daily drove went with the intermediate Michelin Cup 2 for their 2nd set. The regular track guys had 2 sets of tires with the track tires being lighter to cut down on the rotational mass.
Your track days are gonna be a blast, but whatever tires are on there now will be toast after the weekend :-)

The Blackwings are great. It's a 4 door Camaro...with the old Z06 engine, and also used in the ZL1. The track day will be fun. If you have not experienced one, you will be impressed how much more the car has to give beyond what you think it can do. It's not the straights, its the turns that will blow your mind in the Alpha II platform. It's not as fast as the S550 (Mustang) platform, but its SOOO much more controllable and comfortable. You can drive close to the limit way more comfortably in the Alpha II platform than the S550 platform.
Tires - Michelin PS4S. Great all season tire. If you were only driving on dry roads/Autocrossing/Tracking it, I'd jump to something 200 TW, and avoid the R888's.
Also, I am 90% certain that car comes with Summer only tires. I would suggest jumping to the PS4S for winter, at least until March. Summer tires are absolute trash below about 50 degrees, they will spin and spin, never get grip, and are dangerous to drive with if you are not expecting it.
Cool car, enjoy it!

Chris,
I would have put the same shoes back on the ZL1...those GY supercar tires were fantastic for spirited driving, but not for daily as they wear too fast. I only got 6k miles out of mine & they really sucked when cold like stated. However, mine wasn't a daily & most on camaro6 went with the PS4S for their 2nd set.
Lots of the track guys bought a 2nd set of racing wheels to go with the sticky tires...lighter to cut down on the rotational mass.
What tires came w/ the caddy??
