I don't even use a blind or feeder. I sure don't need a camera! I use my skills and woodmanship and actually hunt! Maybe that's why I haven't killed a deer in 25 years! but seriously I just enjoy hunting and being around deer nowadays and prefer to add challenges to my hunts right down to the weapon.

His tree hugging game looks pretty strong.

I've never used a trail camera, a high fence or a feeder.

            To each their own.

If one of y'all wants me to make a trip to Texas to shoot a monster buck that you have trail cam pics of at the feeder on your high fence ranch, I will be happy to oblige.

I'm too cheap and too lazy for cameras and feeders.

When you live 9 hours away and get one buck on a lease that costs 5 figures, the answer is YES.

If you don't see a big buck, you have wasted your time?

Any day in the deer woods is a good day. I can't think of even one minute I've ever wasted while hunting.

I agree that every minute spent outdoors is a blessing. However, when you are hunting large acreage and properties hundreds of miles apart cell cams are vital in opportunities at management and trophy deer especially bowhunting.

I run three cell cams and it’s cool but what it really does is blow my motivation. I find myself with a drive to hunt my setups that I don’t have a camera at. If I haven’t seen anything worth shooting on camera I don’t wanna hunt there. Even after all the bucks I’ve shot that I never saw on camera back before cell cameras. They are addictive though and probably never will stop using them. It’s nice to know you have a good one coming in. Keeps me from shooting a smaller one.

I run 10 year round on public land. We move them every couple of months in search of doe groups and doe staging areas. The staging areas are where the bucks will be visiting during the rut. Also use them to pattern other hunters.

Can I live without them, absolutely. Did that for the first 20 years of my hunting career.
