Do you have to use a trail camera?

Now that most people have used trail cameras for so long I'm curious how many people don't like to hunt without one.

Trail cameras are the best tools ever created for having history on deer. Takes the guess work out of aging on the hoof.

I do miss the surprise factor of not using them. But, they are a great tool for knowledge and management.

I voted Don't really care. They are a PITA. Only real reason I keep them up as well as I do is for my wildlife mgmt paperwork.

I just have one running on our place to see what goes to drink at the water. Enjoy seeing the variety of wildlife on it.

I should have clarified... This poll is for when you are hunting. Not really talking about using for management etc.

The best thing about a trail and cell cam is it lets me know every time I picked the wrong stand to hunt.

I've never used one but I really enjoy seeing what is showing up on my friend's trail cams. I agree, It would be exciting to see Buck progress year to year. I'm not a big fan of knowing a big buck shows up each day at a certain time. It seems to take the excitement out of it.
