Bad Weather Houston Area

Hope everyone is safe. Went thru the 2 tornadoes that hit west Temple and east of Temple. We were at Oscars and rode it out in the restaurant. It touched down about a mile south. Not fun!

That was my first encounter with a tornado, we had roof damage but 1/4 mile from us houses were destroyed. Had I left my truck in my driveway it would have been fine, but I brought it to my buddies apartments around the corner to get it under covered parking because of the hail threat.

It got hit by the tornado…

I was heading to Livingston from Waller to pick up our granddaughter. About 12:30 or so, I was on the elevated portion of 99 where it transitions to 59 north and stopped behind a storm chaser truck. Couldn’t really see more than 20’-30’ in any direction because of the heavy rain and swirling winds. It was pretty sketchy to say the least

Yes, that Porter damage was about 3-4 miles from my house. The same storm, missed us to the South of Woodville. Now between Newton and Jasper.

my MIL lives in Porter heights off youpon. Been dealing with downed trees and stuff. No house damge other then the breaker box ripped off the house from a fallen tree.
