a top notch tripod is mandatory
What do you reccommend for a tripod?

The Zeiss are $500, cheaper on sale. My Dad upgraded his Nikons to the same Zeiss after using them on our rifle range.
the terra series is made in China and the pocket size are made in Japan.

For the Swaro guys. What is the major difference between the SLC and the ELs?

I don’t like to hear that at all. They very well may be not be as durable over the long term, like I said they were brand new. And I know you lose some optical quality on the Swaro’s with the RF capabilities, but the image to my eye was way better than expected at that price point

they are good but several of the european bino companies are having their products made in China and Japan. That is one of the reasons I bought the meopta, they still make them in the Czech republic, except their optika series which is sourced from Asia.

The Terra ED are supposed to be German made parts assembled in china. Not china made parts.

Swarovski EL or if you can swing it the NL pure is ridiculously awesome.

I have a pair of 10x41 Vortex Razor UHD and will still get fatigue after a long glassing session so nothing Vortex makes would be a consideration for me. I’m selling them this year along with a Leica 3500.com Rangefinder to go to a Leica RF binocular.
