      Dang, and you think you need to take dogs with you to track. Sounds like your dad just needs a leash for you and let you go tracking deer instead of the dogs. LOL. Congrats to you and your dad!!! Awesome hunt and awesome memories.

                    Thanks all you hunters for the great comments. Thanks Jared for a good track job. The few seconds I had for both animals was a rush. The seconds of watching the bull walk out and put his head down to sniff where I had walked until I grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger is a video burned in my memory bank.

                          Is the shotgun a Marlin Model 50? That was my first gun when I was in 6th grade and what I used to shoot dove in Bell County.
