Been working so just catchin up. Good luck! my son had a youth hunt there years back. It was great but a beat down. He had an easy 140s 8 pt at maybe 50 yards in his crosshairs at sunset on the last night. He couldn't pull the trigger knowing the work ahead. I still razz him about it; and he's still defends his decision. Would love to go back.

What a great week of hunting down south! Dad ended up shooting a bull of a lifetime. What’s even more crazy is he shot it with a 20 gauge! His first shotgun he got in grade school! The bull took a high shoulder shot at 15 yards! There was absolutely ZERO blood! I got on some fresh tracks that looked dug in deep. While following them I noticed a track under a very low mesquite limb. I knew this had to be his bull! I followed them 300 yards and found him headed back to his home on a thick white brush trail. I marked him on OnX and ran back the direction I last saw Dad. I shouted for him. When we met up he said, “Well by the look on your face and you yelling you must of found him!” We joked around, laughed, high-fived and I told him, “HE’s BIG!” As we walked up together on his bull, I saw the joy on my father’s face and heard the excitement in his voice. Something I will never forget. His bull ended up measuring 10 2/8”. Truly a Brush Country Monster. A memory I’ll always cherish with my Dad. Now for the pictures!!
