I have 4 new ones. Used 1 month. 4 of 4 would not stay lit. Took aluminum line off to pilot and blew them out. ALL had clear oil in them from factory. Put them back together and no problems since. But I intend to contact the company and discuss it cause I shouldn't have to do that. 2 were on 20 lb. Bottles with hoses and one was only on green bottle so that wouldn't have made a difference i don't think.

I have taken these things down to bare bones to get oil out of the line. Its an easy process if one has any level of patience.

we run 20lb bottle on all 5 of mine never had a filter and never had a problem with that. The striker goes out we just use a point and flame clicker and light it. Need to make sure you have air flow inside the unit. It you get a mouse nest inside or mud dobbers you will have issues. Clean it out. In the pic that Chew posted you will see the brass fitting that has a hole for air flow. That get spider nest and crap in it and will drive you nuts until you get it clean
