                      Looks like a fat coyote to me. A lot of coyotes have a dark colored tip to their tail.

                        I looked at it again and it’s like the t shirts that have gibberish printed on them until you change your focus and then they make sense. The “tail” could very well be another hind leg

                          Now that I look at it again I think if it's not a cat, then you are right. That's the only other explanation that's plausible to me.
