I got bit by one two years ago. Hope I never go thru that again.
Are you saying your body builds up some kind of immunity to them for the first one to be the worst?

Got bit by one on the knee cap about 15 years ago. A small rotten spot that I just cut off with my knife. Wasn’t that bad but I was bitten by a rattlesnake so maybe that helped

A fraternity brother got bitten on the inside of his thigh--I can still remember and see the dripping out of the spot onto a towel on the floor as we sat at the cart table!

Never been bitten by a brown recluse, but got bitten by a black widow and if the 1st time is bad and 2nd better
I still don’t ever want to again
horrible swelling and rotten flesh, 2 weeks of feeling like crap
West Nile virus and tick fever nearly killed me when I had those
WN = brain swelling with headache and some paralysis, uncontrollable pain and sweating, getting spinal cord taps to check for clarity of spinal fluid

Yes !
the 2nd time was still pretty bad, but third wasn’t that bad, and fourth only left a pimple.
i imagine, I wouldn’t even know if I’m bit again.

Been bit twice once in high school and again a couple years ago first one was rough still carry a scar just under my bicep second one was not bad on top of my foot

Wife and I both have scars from them. She has a large one one her shoulder and I have one on my calf.

Got a notification from one of our safety reps out in the field yesterday that a contractor went into a porta can to do his business and got bit on the sack by a black widow….. jeeez, I hate spiders

I posted the progression of my ex wife's brown recluse bite on TBH. It took about a year for full recovery

My ol' lady got bit on the butt cheek years ago. I watched the doctor pack it with gauze and couldn't believe how deep it rotted out.
