Wounded buck from last season.

We have a very similar situation on our lease in Mexico. A buck was wounded last year and survived. He looks really healthy this year, but his horns went down a bit. This is the third year he has been a target so we decided to keep him on the hit list. If we’re given the chance to kill him, we will. He has always been very elusive and doesn’t show up much during hunting season, so that also plays into our decision. If he was a regular, we would likely let him roll

he has lived a whole year and you witnessed him chasing pretty ladies. If that isn't living good what is?
on a side note ( and as I type this I realize it be mostly irrelevant ) I killed a nice bull elk one year, and upon skinning and quartering, I found a broad head in the left ham. It was all grizzled up in scar tissue. He was as healthy as they come and he had 16 cows in his harem on his last day. so your mileage could vary
