    Idaho Mule Deer semi-live hunt.

Well, it finally made it. The time to head to Idaho and chase a muley. The reports I’ve gotten for unit 75 haven’t been great, but we’re headed up nonetheless!

I left for Bandera on Wednesday after work and had a good time with a buddy and his clients. They killed (2) 300+ stags, a giant eland, and some monster whitetail. I left there Saturday morning at 3am headed to Colorado Springs. I made it about 2 hours in and pulled over for a nap in the camper lol.

I woke up outside of Junction to a great sunrise and started the next 11 hours of the 13 hour drive. It was a long day to say the least, especially after a 2 day trip to an all inclusive ranch… lol. I made it to Colorado Springs about 8, met my buddy Scott and we grabbed dinner and decided not to chance driving to some of the parks in case there were no spots. So we went to camping world to sleep in the parking lot… which to our surprise was locked lol. So we pulled in the cul-de-sac out back and busted out the camper. We didn’t get much sleep due to some people riding 4 wheelers around and the fear of getting our trucks broken into. We made it through the night and headed to Moab for our next night.

We made it here and got a spot at the KOA for a shower and to do some laundry. Grabbed some dinner and are hanging out by the fire with a cold beverage. We leave tomorrow for Redmond Utah to tour the fierce firearms facility and then stop by MTN OPS facility for a tour. Planning to stay at Bear Lake tomorrow night before the final drive to Grace/Thatcher/Soda Sorings Idaho to scout a few days. The other 3 of our group will meet us there Tuesday/Wednesday and we’ll start the rifle hunt Thursday to the following Friday! I’ll try to keep yall updated as service allows.

Is that the custom trailer you built a couple of years ago?

This one is a Tiny Camper Company built trailer. I’ve got some future plans for it to make it more accommodating.

That’s our plan. The numbers are low, so we’re going to take days to go fishing, possibly shoot some birds etc if the deer aren’t there.
