Ever occur to you that your speculation might be totally wrong? I don't know if it is or not. Heck, you might be spot on.

I do know this, People that throw out speculations during events like this, aren't helping the matter at all. It insights division and really muddies the waters when its unnecessary.

For all you and I know, this Kid could have been raised by nuns.

Give the victims a break and let them sort out fact from fiction before you go stirring the pot.

I don’t know what the solution is but our Public School Systems in America have a lot of issues that need to be addressed.

A 14 year old child in their right mind would not shoot up a school without some type of mental distress or just being ****** off at the world.

Don't care if he's 40, 25, 17 or 14 years old. If you shoot up a school or event you have made the decision to be a sack a **** and commit atrocities that 99.999999% of the human population couldn't even comprehend or follow through with.

Put him on a live TV stream and start skinning him alive. Inject adrenaline or any other medication to prolong his pain for as long as freaking possible. If anyone else wants to attempt to do the same then there is your future.

by all means do Not lay any of the blame on the parents ! . Have you ever thought that there are a whole lot of kids / people in this world that have Never been shown any love at all - AT ALL? Yep, the myth of the AR.

Of all their anti gun rhetoric, they are just as aware as we are. They are trying to convince the masses that if we can just get rid of this one gun platform, all of it will cease.

But wait!!…. that didn’t work. Now we all have to ban all long guns. That will surely turn things around.

All the while, they are aware that the deadliest school shooting in US history was at Virginia Tech when the guy killed over 30 with two handguns, a 9mm and a .22. That’s right folks, the deadliest school shooting in American history the tiny .22.

The anti gunners aren’t blind. They know that much of the public is however and the more they can blame a class of guns as the culprit, they will gain support. If we could just get rid of ____fill in the blank____.

Many pro Second Amendment advocates waste their time ridiculing the definition of an assault weapon. Anyone in a political argument can define anything as he wishes. I believe that some should quit arguing over what an assault weapon is or isn’t. That is getting side tracked because everyone knows what type of firearm they are talking about. Keep the issue focused on the right of self defense and the right to keep and bear arms and not the name of a weapon.

I usually agree with you but not on this point. You correctly identify the “masses” as the people dems are trying to convince. The same demographic are the ones that need to be “educated” as to what is and isn’t an “assault rifle”. We are fighting the dem politicians, the media and Hollywood, and it’s all uphill, but I think we are making a little progress. I saw a former NY detective (I think) today saying that long guns are responsible for a small fraction of shootings. I never heard that, even on Fox, a few years ago. Although Biden still thinks an “AR 14” is a machine gun, some people on the other side are a little smarter than that, and these are the ones we need to reach, if possible. It’s a hard road, and a long one, but IMO, we don’t need to give up.

One act is of pure hate against innocence while the second is a reaction of pure hate produced from the vile individuals actions against innocence. If you cannot separate and distinguish those two than I should just stop typing…. But I’m going to keep rolling…

How about a possibility and likelihood that these atrocities may actually decrease in frequency when those filled with this level of evil and hate see an appropriate punishment to unjustifiable actions? What we and our country is doing now is NOT WORKING and no level of thoughts and prayers will change that.

And yes there are millions of people who are not shown love and 99% of them do not do this ****! Should we help as many as we can and do I try to help whenever I can? Absolutely! But…. This IS NOT one of those times.

How about you go do yourself a big favor and go talk with the parents in the hospitals praying their children are going to be okay or those who will soon be burying their children because of this vile sack of crap? Secondly, No blame on the parents??? Hell, as far as I’m concerned they aren’t far behind in receiving the exact same punishment. Show that they have assisted in any way or have been absolute sacks of craps themselves to their child and throw them in line. But starting down that path and the second hand assumptions is a dangerous one.

Lastly, if you somehow concluded I’m painting some broad stroke that “all” young adults, who have committed a crime of sorts , do not deserve a second chance…. I would humbly request you go take a middle school English class to help your comprehension levels to be able to interpret and decipher more efficiently.

Yep. The FBI notified the Jackson County Sheriff's Department (a neighboring county to Barrow, where the shooting occurred) last year when the kid made bomb threats and threatened to shoot up his school.

Something just as shocking, sad and scary as any of these mass shootings, is how the general public now reacts to them these days.
I remember a time, not long ago, that the entire country was in shock and disbelief.
Non stop media coverage. My phone and emails would be blowing up.
Not these days though.
This country has now become completely desensitized to these shootings even though they are still just as horrible. It’s a shame this country has become numb to these types of incidents but it was bound to happen. They are happening so often that they are becoming the norm.

We will become what we tolerate.
