Gila on your first application is pretty special in itself. If I were a man that believed in luck I’d say there is something big in store for this hunt. Stay after them and keep your bow close at all times. It only takes a few magical seconds for the hunt to go from bust to bull down. Find water and let the glass do the walking for you in the early season if possible. Towards the tail end of your hunt they might be firing up. Having that tag in your pocket is already a win. Congrats and hunt hard

back when we were hunting it out of state applications were easy to get and we DIY'd it each time -no outfitter required or needed - the Gila is awesome for sure but pretty rough country for sure - lots of climbing
