Last time I was in San Antonio for work, we went to Silo on 1604....it was very good.

Couldn't tell you... I've always been confused with the different places with same name. These little mom and pop places typically don't have the best internet/social media presence. As far as i could tell, they weren't related. News to me. I always just went to the original to be safe.

Bit of trivia: The taco cabana you pass on the way in is the original. May as well stop for a margarita too

I can remember eating there in the late 50's and ate there two weeks ago when at the TTHA Hunter's Extravaganza. Opened in 1947 and still owned by the same family. May not be the BEST food but it sure is a long standing tradition.

Anyone know the name of the little hole in the wall with the unlevel floors, and the big oak tree in the middle of the dining room? Man that was some good grub!

If you're in the medical center I'd be eating at Tip Top Cafe every day. Off Fredericksburg rd inside 410 at the Santa Monica intersection just past Vance Jackson. Nostalgia and the best Chicken Fried Steak and Onion Rings you'll ever find. Great pies as well.
