We were just a few miles north of and experienced same today. Nice cloud cover and a slight breeze, too.

I just got back today from southern KS. Looks like you guys couldn’t hit ‘em last year because they are thick there. ( or at least ya’ll scared them and they ain’t comin’)

Got skunked in NW Blanco Co. hunting over a shredded millet plot. I'm thinking about burning the thatch in a few days.

It will be interesting to see how well the birds recover. I had a good group of buddies on Friday & Saturday. I have some friends that send their kids, then the kids invite friends, then they sit in best spots then others start roaming. I had to give one gentleman TBHer his money back because he had safety concerns. Sunday the fields were mostly empty only 8 hunters and the birds were still there. Everyone was wore out, . I know I was. Lots of birds in McCook I heard, some of my hunters ended up out there. All good

Plenty where we are at. Killing about 90% white wings though

We had a fair day Saturday. Definitely nothing to write home about. There were more birds than we've seen over the last 5 years, but nothing like what we used to have 10-20 years ago.

We killed two limits on opening day in Sabinal. All small mourning, but action was pretty steady. Primarily onesie twosie with few if any big clouds coming over.

Crazy amount of birds in the Texas Panhandle this past weekend. FND and I had no issue filling out limits on back to back days and then watched even larger flights fly over us while cleaning birds. Day 2 was a carbon copby minus the whitewings

We came down and hunted south east of Brownsville on Friday and got our limits in about an hour. Hunted McCook on Sat and had limits for our group in 45 min. Great shoot both days. Would have stayed down by Brownsville is it wasn't so muddy. Arnold was great to deal with. Thank you.
