Anybody have/had this current strain of Covid? How long does it last?

A week ago I woke up with a sore throat, head congestion and an occasional cough. No fever, slight fatigue.. For a few days I went to work thinking it was just allergies or a summer cold but I then tested positive for Covid and have continued to test positive for 4 days even though my symptoms other than fatigue are gone. Any recent experience with this strain? How long am I likely to test positive?

My kid got it, then wife, then me. Me and the kid were sick for a few days. Wife had the worst bout and lasted almost two weeks. Just a cold really. Get better soon!

At the hospital I work for, we have seen people test positive for a week or more after they no longer have symptoms. Back in 2020-21 we would sometimes see people test positive for up to a month.

However, we are allowing our employees to go back to work 24 hours after symptoms are gone.

Strain don’t matter - tip back on that ivermectin tube - it’s the tbh way

Have some family that has some kind of swamp flu with a lingering cough and no taste and smell. Just that time of year for junk like this to start circulating around.

My sister just had it again last week and was just groggy for a few days and then gone.

My bro-in-law (er doc) tested + for it for the 7th time and it whooped his butt this time. Coughing so rough started to cough up blood tinged mucous.

I'm currently about 10 days since first symptoms & still feel like crap. Tested positive 7 days ago, but haven't tested again. Ran a high fever for a few days, now it's a really bad cough & sinus symptoms along with no energy.

My 80yo MIL has had it for 2 weeks, she has dementia also and picked it up at adult daycare, she isn’t testing positive last couple days
but still has allergy type symptoms/ head cold , congestion, nausea, fatigue, low grade fever
can’t go to day care without being cleared by a doctor, doctor didn’t clear her last Thursday unfortunately
( she is a PIA to take care of, trying to get her medication and entertainments , meals squared away daily)

Had covid last year. No idea what strain but I was over it in 3 days. Mild flu-like symptoms.

I had it about a month ago, it lasted about a week and left me with a lingering cough that I've just now gotten rid of.

Covid affected me and my wife for about two weeks. Sore throat for a few days and then it was like a head cold. Also lots of coughing. Wife and I both lost our smell and taste for about 3 weeks.

The wife and I both had it back in May. Our symptoms were low grade fever, hot flashes and fatigue. My wife had some congestion, but I didn't have much. It literally felt like someone shot me with a tranqualizer dart. Worst symptoms were for about 48 hours and we both started feeling much better after. My wife had a lingering cough for about 10 days. Like just about anything else, I think the severity is all over the place as far as how sick people get and for how long.

As for testing positive, my understanding is you can test positive outwards to like 2 weeks; which is pretty similar to flu. You aren't contagious after a handful of days.
