I was on the water before first light this morning. I had already entered the waypoints your buddy sent me and I hit every one of them. Thermocline was terrible most places. I literally never got a bite. There were 3 guides at the ramp when I got there and they all told me I was wasting my time. They were right but I enjoyed being on the water anyway. It’s something for this East Texas boy to be looking at timber in 120 feet of water.

I bailed on fishing about 10:30 and we rented a side by side and rode the mountains. It’s been cloudy and 80 here all day.

We are back at the cabin now to shower and relax for a little while then heading to Shuck Me for our 27th anniversary dinner. It better be good mjhavercamp or we might not make 28.

I was there in July with the family. We did a train ride at a place that was below the dam. Pretty cool for smaller kids. Heck, I enjoyed it myself. We eventually rented a boat and found a quiet cove to swim in on the lake.

Shuck Me was delish and The Grateful Head Pizza place was delish.

Shuck Me was good. I ate till I couldn’t. Headed to Grateful Head pizza shortly then off to find that salted caramel waffle cone.
