I’m not a tech guy. I’m about to order my starlink equipment. I plan to mount it on an old dish network roof mount that’s already on my house . So I’m guessing I need the pole brackets? That’s if it’s facing the right direction . Also wondering how many devices can I run off it ? Will I be able connect 3 fire sticks and my security camera and a tablet ?

I’ve got one set up in our barracks so we have good wifi while deployed. Getting up to 300mbps down, average is about 180 or so.
At the moment I show 21 devices connected. That includes people’s phones, iPads, computers, ect ect. That’s just to my main starlink router. I have a second router on the opposite side of the building that 5 guys are connected to. In total, 12 people sitting around streaming movies, FaceTiming family, one guy I think does video games. I am streaming a movie on my iPad while typing this on my phone. Zero issues.
You will have no problem connecting what you listed. Only issue is if there is a far distance from the router to your device and it doesn’t get good signal.
One guy got his in today and we got it set up. The 4 in his room were also using mine while they waited. So that was 16 people that were using it. Still no issues.

The newest models don’t aim themselves. Just a kickstand off the back and you point it in the correct direction and make small adjustments until it tells you it’s good.Last edited by M16; 07-26-2024, 04:25 PM.
