Jimmy Carter is a fine person. He was just a lousy leader.

We have seen in the past where someone was very ill and had a premature announcement of death only to have the person pass away soon afterwards. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone just jumped the gun a bit.

Maybe Carter is the antithesis of Trump who is probably a lousy person but a good leader.

He's to be admired in my book for the example he set for us outside politics.

agreed 100%. He was a great man, and did what he truly thought was best. He was wrong politically, but his heart was in the right place.

I think Jimmy Carter has reportedly died more times than Willie Nelson.

Secret Service agants said the siutcases he carried were empty and he was doing it for show. If that’s true, he’s a phony and a fake. If not, well…..he’s still a Democrat.

That's about the only thing that those two have in common!

He's like Keith Richards, he's never going to die.

He was a slow learner too.
He kept endorsing democrats, including BHO.

I wonder how many of here voted for him? Probably more than would admit it.

                        Hoax

The fake letter announcing Jimmy Carter's death quoted the 39th president as calling his wife a "baddie" and the "original Brat."

I had never voted back then, but my parents certainly did. They were both life-long DemoKrauts (union workers)...

I actually did. And that was the last time I ever voted for a democrat.

1970’s democrats were not the same as the ones today.

He was the election before I was old enough to vote. My daughter is named Reagan after Ronald Reagan so I think I know how I would have voted.
I can’t remember voting for more than 1 democrat in my life but truth be told I’d love to have a 50-60 year old Jimmy Carter to vote for today. The old southern democrats are an extinct breed. Heck, honorable men are a dying breed.
