This. Give him a shot, OP, I bet it turns out OK.

I'm thinking she was being really over dramatic. Had him dressed up like Hannibal Lecter for the photoshoot. Maybe he didn't like her because she put stuff on his face. Just a thought.

If dogs are afraid of you and you do stuff they don't like they'll generally let you know. If they don't like it a lot they'll show you by biting. Unless his name is Scooby Doo that's the only way he could express his discomfort.

That last picture of him makes me think he's not a problem.

It sounds like there's one common dominator in these failed relationships. And it don't have 4 legs.

Does not sound like an agressive pup to me. Clearly your buddy's MIL is a nut job.

Dramatic? DRAMATIC?? We are not dramatic! ((Said, in dramatic fashion, with back of hand to forehead))

How come that GSP didn’t get it tail docked at birth?

I was given one of those highly trained dogs that a group of veterinarians had bought for their bird hunting. They had several dogs, all high bred, and trained them to hunt only. Very little interaction or loving from anyone. All that she wanted to do was hunt. It didn't matter if it was 110 degrees outside or 10 degrees. If she got out of the kennel, she was off and running. If I couldn't find her for a few days, she would have her pads worn off and bleeding. She ended up running off and never coming back. I suspect that my tendered hearted neighbor that had returned her a time or two, along with a vet bill, ended up keeping her. I had enough of her B.S. within a year. Glad that she is gone. She actually ruined me on hunting dogs. I'll never own another one even though I had some really good GSPs that would hunt and were quite loving family pets as well.

                            A little story.

years ago I adopted a female Blue Lacy. They told me she had started to get aggressive with kids amd to be careful. Well my grandkids were visiting and the oldest was learning to walk. The dog was laying at my feet. The toddler tripped and planted both hands into her chest. She picked up her head and looked at the child. Then put her head back down.

we gave the dog a lot of exercise whereas the previous owner used to but stopped when he started having kids, who were autistic.

point - you never really know but a tired dog is a good dog.

Thats a good lookin pup! If I didnt have 3 GSPs all ready, Id say send him my way. lol. Sending that kinda money just to give him away sounds like a owner problem. GSP arent naturally aggressive so I would bet something happened. Those dogs need to be worked or have others to help get the energy out or they will find away. Weve lost a couple shoes and a couch. I would never write one off and to me all dogs deserve a chance.
