I really enjoyed how in depth these threads were in the past 2014-15 were really awesome. Seems they’ve fallen off last couple of years. Anyone still up that way?

I’m on my first year NE of Cloudy. I’ve never hunted up here, so I’m definitely learning. Goals are to set up a productive spot for my kids to put down their first buck. I’m trophy hunting for myself. I’m looking for that mountain monster.

I couldn’t stand it, so I put in a little protein feeder, but I totally expect it to get hammered by a bear very soon. Should be headed back up in a couple weeks for scouting, stand locations, cutting lanes..

Little update. Went up to the lease and dragged the campers up to set up camp. Moved some feed pens around, filled some feeders, and put some cameras up. Should be getting some decent pics soon (hopefully).

anyone hunt any of the public land up there just for the heck of it? I'm on a lease up there now but man I love the challenge of public land hunting and having huge vast areas to explore.
