Couple of close buddies of mine (TBH'ers that have forgotten more about firearms than I'll ever know) have known for quite some time that i wanted a suppressor and when i pressed them on the path of least resistance, offered up the idea to visit Rifle Gear in The Colony. Very knowledgeable folks and advised me back on April 21st that the turnaround time on Suppressor Applications was running 4-5 days. "Sign me up"! Fast forward 9 weeks later, $1500 worth of purchases (App & Suppressor & Accessories), i have nothing in hand. Called the store multiple times and get the same story, It's random processing. Any suggestions or comments on what the reality is and or how to reach out to the ATF to see where i am in queue? BTW, Squeaky clean record

Contacting the ATF is the way to get updates, but like mentioned earlier it will just be in the processing stage. Your best bet is to forget about it and wait. It sucks, but that’s our government at work.

Last year I finally broke down and decided to get some. The first batch I got I went with a trust. They trickled in anywhere from 8-10 months. The last one I got was earlier this month. I filed as an individual and once the store finally got the suppressor I wanted in stock, it was approved in less than 24 hours. Everything I have been told is that if you file with a trust you have to wait in two lines and if you file as an individual, there is only one line and it is moving much faster.
