But maybe that's not such a great deal if the Solar Panel negates the need for the battery pack.
Yes. Buy a battery with the solar panel build on like the tactacam one or herd 360 one. They is no need for AAs or battery packs or any thing else with those.

Buying just a battery or just a solar panel doesn't make any sense.

If you have the solar panel that contains an internal battery then you don’t need any batteries at all in the camera. That’s how I run all of mine.

Just checked them like a regular trail cam. Im gonna do another test with Energizer AA batteries and the tactacam battery pack. Ill update when its done.

Heres the link to the cheaper version. They fit the cam perfectly.

        Update.

Energizer max batteries (not lithium) took 6400 pics. Tactacam battery took 6300. Cheap battery pack was just over 6500.

From my experience using energizer lithium's over the past few years, I bet they would've taken at least 10k pics. Possibly more.

Nice. I purchased the cheap battery pack that you posted the Amazon link for, along with the Tactacam solar panel. I'll be going to the lease tomorrow to set it up. Thanks for the info.

I moved to them from a spypoint when i moved to new lease and all the members use Tactacam. I have found my two to be "delicate" as hard time getting one to connect. Pulled it this weekend and followed the internet script (Pull out AT&T card and lightly clean, same on SD Card), powered off and still not connected. Did it again an it connected and took pictures in Shiner last night. Back to lease in couple weeks and try it again.

            Quality of pics are good.
Do you live in Shiner or hunt in Shiner?

Know any Matulas or Pateks? That’s half my genetic make up
