Well, Mr. Moody was none too happy... nor were we who leased the property for hunting. Our members would have loved to have shot them and would have if we'd have known they were going to wipe 'em out... We'd have saved them the trouble and had some fun doing it! We were south of Del Rio and no "Bighorns" or mule deer...

Not surprised to see them in Shackleford. They are all over the Palo Pinto mountains

Yeah, they’ve been around the PK area for decades.

Better kill every one you see especially if you feed protein.

Exactly. I'm kinda rooting for an exotic invasion as it affords more opportunities, year around. I get the same angry feelings when they wipe out large herds in Big Bend and nilgai in Laguna when there's plenty of us that want to shoot them.

Have a place on Young / Throckmorton line since 2000. Nary a 1.

I bet he was upset. He should have been.
They aren't bad. If they were high fence ranch owners wouldn't be buying them by the trailer load to stock their ranches. Big rams bring big money. Now can they be a royal PIA? Yes!! They will live at feeders.

Had my first one at a feeder in the middle of Young county about a month ago. Single ewe that came in two days in a row. Haven’t seen any sign of her since.

We have a few in Northwest crockett county, but not as many as you would think.

While Im not doubting the reasons behind this and certainly see the need to control them (like pigs). I struggle to see the logic on shooting them because 'they came from mexico'. Much like risking loosing a great cape from a mexican deer due to ticks. What about all the other animals (4 legged) who freely walk back and forth between Tex and Mex??? They dont have ticks??????????

Or to they walk under a 7dust sheet at the border?
