I killed a beast of a boar two years ago on my place that was 267 on the hoof. Sucker got to my gravity feeder that was 40" from the ground. Glad I killed him before he destroyed my gravity tube!

Shot a few more this evening. Back at blind 7. 7 little ones came out and then mama. While I was trying to get a shot a good size boar came out. Popped him in the head and he flopped on his back with legs kicking straight up. I pre-decided to shoot at little ones after one shot at big one. He ran off by the time I went to drag him off which saved me some fleas and work. I guessed him at 130-140

I then walked to #1 stand and this guy walked out. Didn't guess his weight as it happened fast. Once I drove up to him I guessed 180-190.

Nothing wrong with eating those big pigs. I have numerous times and friends and families couldn’t tell the difference when eating it.

              I agree. But I don't have a 100,000 cu/ft freezer

Yep the goal is to kill as many as we can size is not important. Litlle or big they are getting shot. Even then its hard to tell we kill any.

Congrats on the dead pork regardless. The biggest hog I ever killed weighed 199lbs field dressed on the scale. People don’t understand that it takes a lot to get out of that 200lb range and when somebody says they killed a 500-600lb FERAL hog….they have their tall boots on 99% of the time.

I've killed a pile of hogs but only 2 they weighted over 300.. the biggest was dang near 7 ft long from nose to tail.. I've cleaned and eaten several large boars.. if they are running by themselves they usually don't taste gamey. You can tell when you walk up to them.. the ones that seem to be the worst are the 70 to 120ish lb boars that are running in a pack.. I've even had gamey sows.. a bred sow is better than whitetail imo...
