Bonnells and Texas De Brazil. I've eating at one of the original gauchones (sp? it's been a long time since I spoke portuguese) in Manaus. Brazil is upper scale than that one was, but if you like meat, both of these are winners.

Love Shack and Lonesome Dove are Tim Love owned as well as Catarinas for fine Italian. Warning on Catarinas, they take your phone. Snooty place. Right up your alley.

This margarita was so delicious, I finished it in fairly short order. I asked my husband to order me another and he did because he is a good man (the occasional need for a rolled up newspaper not withstanding). When the margarita arrived, he said to me, “Do you think you can sip this one this time?”
