I didn't take pictures of our creek, spring creek that runs into Ray Roberts. I would have to invest a pile of money to put in a bridge to withstand it but luckily have county bridge on my corner that connects both sides of creek......
I will say that does definitely look salvageable and tend to agree with another comment on welds but you won't know about footings till water recedes.......I hate that this happened to you but makes me glad I didn't do it too.......I got nothing other than that sucks man !!
That males my stomach hurt just watching that video. We fought the creek on our hog hunting ranch for 20 years and just got top old to do it any more. My heart aches for yall. It is encouraging though to see the structure still appears to be sound, holding up to that kind of force. Hopefully you'll be able to get her back up there without nearly the expense you incurred the first time around. Praying for that to be the case for you.
Im smart enough to foreman but being youre more experienced in this type of thing, Id think youre better suited to be down on the crick. I am willing to wear some daisy dukes and make sure yall stay hydrated
Getting hammered with storms now. Hope it goes through quick.
we caught another round last night that woke me up and I checked the radar over us and yall. It seemed to be moving quicker than yesterday. What we got sounded worse than it was.
Sorry for your loss. Bridges are not cheap and require a lot of labor. Looks like it can be salvaged and at least you know more about how to anchor it next time.
Only got 3/4" last night/this morning. But it's a lot when everything is flooded. They were herding cows by boat on Hwy 7 out by the Navasota River. Crazy.
All that water & Falcon lake is now at only 10% capacity...we'll be importing it from you guys soon if the tropics don't speak to us this summer.
Iβm betting they could take a fraction of what they have spent on subsidizing green energy and build a water pipeline from three or four main tributaries that will distribute water cross the state to LAKES in need.
